How to connect to EDUROAM via Symbian:


Download the certificate needed to connect to EDUROAM and install it to your device using File Manager.

Open SettingsàConnectivityàSettingsàNetwork Destinations.



Select “Internet”.


Select “New Access Point”.

Tap Yes to the question “Automatically check for available access points?”.



Select Wİ-Fi (Wireless) as Access Point.

Select “eduroam” network.

In the list select “eduroam” to do the authentication settings.



Be sure the Connection Settings are as follows.



Tap “Wi-Fi security settings”. Settings must be as follows.
WPA/WPA2 : EAP
WPA2 Only mode : Off



Tap “EAP plug-in settings”. Select “EAP-TTLS” as authentication method. Disable the other methods.



Be sure that “EAP-TTLS settings” are as follows.
Authority Certificate: TED UNIVERSITY eduroam
Use your username given by TEDU or the EDUROAM member institution. Enter your institution domain in the “Realm” e.g. “tedu.edu.tr”
Tape OK.



Choose “MSCHAPv2”, disable the other methods.

In MSCHAPv2 settings,
In username area put your username together with the domain of your institution.
Set No as Prompt Password and put your password in the password field.



Now you can choose eduroam network from your Wi-Fi list and make your connection.
